Google DeepMind Accelerator: Robotics
ROBOTICS is becoming an exciting Frontier of AI...and\n@GoogleDeepMind is providing substantial support!\n\nRecently launched Google DeepMind Accelerator: Robotics - selected fifteen founders of early-stage robotics startups from across Europe for a three-month program offering intensive mentorship and technical support from Google teams to help integrate AI into their core products. \nCongratulations to all fifteen selected founders\n\nFour selected are UK startups. Two are based in Edinburgh -\n- Touchlab @TouchlabL : Unlocking new horizons - the e- ssential role of robust touch sensation in advancing robotics. It uses advanced nano inks to create an “e-skin” that gives robots a high-resolution sense of touch across flexible surfaces. Introducing its revolutionary technology - a thin, customisable layer with unparalleled dynamic range, durability, and definition. https://t.co/AzmDWaWWw6\n\n- Danu Robotics @DanuRobotics : Uses embodied AI robotic systems to automate complex waste sorting, increasing efficiency, improving safety, and enabling scalable recovery of valuable materials that supports the circular economy.\n\n- Extend Robotics @extend_robotics : Has a London office with operations based in Reading, It uses the Isaac GR00T platform to enable customers to control and train robots for industrial tasks like visual inspection and handling radioactive materials. The company’s Advanced Mechanics Assistance System lets users collect demonstration data and generate diverse synthetic datasets with NVIDIA GR00T-Mimic and GR00T-Gen to train the GR00T N1 foundation model. It provides teleoperation software and data pipelines that help train and fine-tune foundation models for real-world robotics applications.\n\n- AUAR (Automated Architecture) @_auar : Based in Walthamstow, it is part of the London AI Robotics Hub. Makes homebuilding more affordable using its robotic micro-factories - deployable on-site shipping containers housing robotic arms and AI that manufacture sustainable timber walls, floors, and roofs - directly to construction sites, utilizing timber and local labour. See AUAR_io. Active in UK, expanding to US, Belgium and Europe, it aims to create a network of thousands of micro-factories. MasterBuilder Software: An AI-driven design and production platform that converts architectural concepts into build-ready data. \nIt generates structural layouts, material lists, and cost estimates.\n@WorldRobotDay and #LARHub SPOTLIGHTS AUAR today! #AI #Robotics #WorldRobotDay #londonnews #construction #MicroFactories
