Houdini Bio has emerged from stealth with $1.95 million in pre-seed funding led by SCVC, with participation from Deep Science Ventures and Cambridge Enterprise Ventures, to develop a DNA engineering platform designed to improve the durability and effectiveness of gene therapies. Founded in 2025, the British biotech startup combines machine learning with research into cellular DNA silencing mechanisms to help therapeutic genes evade biological defenses that can reduce treatment efficacy.
